Luna’s Cafe is located at 109 Springdale Drive in Nicholasville, Kentucky, locally owned and unique to Jessamine County. It is, to my knowledge, the only cafe to also feature a butterfly greenhouse/garden, and they have much more to offer!

A Little About Luna’s Cafe
Last week I met with fellow creatives at a Kentucky Creatives event at Luna’s Cafe, Coffee & Wines off Harrodsburg Rd, in Nicholasville, Kentucky! They can even create fantastic mocktails for those who don’t drink alcohol, plus they also serve coffee!
Luna’s Cafe has a unique atmosphere with an outside patio and a butterfly garden! They offer many menu items and are there for all your charcuterie board needs. Luna’s Cafe also has a private lounge you can rent out – great for baby showers, meetings, friend get-togethers, etc.!

Let’s Talk That Menu
There is quite the variety on their menu, as there are so many drinks and much delicious food to choose from!
I had two delicious non-alcoholic drinks, one being their Butterfly Lemonade and a Peach Mocktail; both were delicious! They also serve coffee, tea, and more alcoholic options. Their food tastes as good as it looks. The charcuterie board also had this blackberry-tasting cheese that was amazing! I am going back to try their dinner and brunch here soon.

The Butterflies and Moths
Not only does this place serve food and drinks, but they also have a butterfly garden that is very beautiful and unique, especially since this cafe is located in Nicholasville, Ky.
We were introduced to various insects, including the Luna moth, which the cafe is named after. When I was little, I always thought moths were just brown, and that was it because I had never seen any other kind of moth, but perhaps it is because most moths are nocturnal. Luna moths are so magnificent – we also got to see what they looked like before they turned into moths, and they are giant caterpillars! As we were taking the tour and being taught about them, we could even hear one of the little creatures munching on leaves from a plant; it was pretty cool. The whole experience and butterfly garden tour was excellent.
If you want to learn more about these types of insects or are fascinated by this topic, I highly suggest checking this place out! I do see myself becoming a regular at this place! Don’t forget to check out their website!

Final Thoughts
I am so thankful Kentucky Creatives invited me to this small event, as I honestly wasn’t aware that this place existed, let alone in Jessamine County!
