Mitsuri From Demon Slayer | Yuko-En on the Elkhorn – Cosplay Corner

I recently shot with Moments Entwined Photography for a Mitsuri Kanroji cosplay photo shoot, and the location was beyond gorgeous. This location is also a good location for picnics, weddings, or even just to exercise or take photos!

Yuko-En on the Elkhorn

This location in Georgetown Ky is jaw-dropping and absolutely stunning. It’s a hidden gem to be honest, before the photo shoot I had no idea this place existed! Yuko-En on the Elkhorn is the official Kentucky Japan Friendship Garden which features Japanese-style gardens, bridges, landscaping, and more. The awesome thing about this garden in Kentucky is that it is open all four seasons! You can learn more about this place by visiting their website – click here!

My Mitsuri Kanroji Cosplay Journey

Mitsuri Kanroji is a character from Demon Slayer manga & anime!

When I first did Mitsuri Kanroji, it was a learning experience. This is actually one of the first characters I have cosplayed that showed off her curves, and intimacy. I had a lot of trouble finding a good wig so the first round of this cosplay I will admit, wasn’t too great. But for me, I cosplay to have fun and I am a firm believer that cosplay isn’t a competition, however, I do enjoy cosplaying, and going for accuracy when cosplaying.

I actually bought the outfit from several different places, mixing it up to create a more realistic approach to her outfit. Because some cosplay sits have certain strengths, and weaknesses I have come to find. I bought stuff for her outfit from EZ Cosplays, and other cosplay websites from Amazon including, Miccostumes. However, I found the white belt from Plato’s Closet, the wig from Kasou Wigs, and the buttons I replaced also from Amazon. The original buttons on the jacket didn’t fit Mitsuri’s character at all, they were weird buttons that were more presidential in looks – so I replaced them with cute gold heart-shaped buttons from Amazon. Circling back to the wig, I actually had tried the cosplay with a wig from Amazon but as you can see below it just wasn’t working out like it should have.
