It’s finally Fall y’all! Shew, do I have something awesome and fun to share with you! I was recently invited along with other bloggers to do the Witches Day Out event and a fun business hop in Cynthiana, Kentucky – which is rumored to be quite haunted…
About Cynthiana
Cynthiana is a rural/small town in North Central Kentucky that features a friendly downtown with multiple businesses and a full day’s worth of things to do – especially in Autumn and has acres upon acres of beautiful farmland! Everyone is so kind here, and most of its history is still thankfully preserved. Cynthiana was also named Kentucky’s number one Fall destination, and you will learn why by the end of this blog post!
Witches Day Out & Influencer Business Hop
Cynthiana comes alive in the Fall time with several events and skeletons hanging out all over during October! When we attended the Witches Day Out, it felt like we stepped into a Disney Halloween movie! The event and town definitely gave me Halloween Town vibes. There were people dressed up as witches and wizards walking all over, visiting vendors, and even children carrying awesome brooms they claimed to have made themselves which were very impressive!
First Stop – Roh’s Opera House
Roh’s Opera House was the first stop of our business hop, and also one of my favourite stops as the Opera House still holds many original pieces of history in Downtown Cynthiana, with stunning architecture and design. There are also opportunities this season to get all the juicy history and ghost stories about the Opera House by attending one of their Ghost Tours.
Abstract Distractions
Abstract Distractions is a cute craft shop that holds paint parties, and sells crafty handmade items for decoration! And look at these cute witch hats you can place on your door for Fall – so cute!
Emerson Steel Boutique
Emerson Steel Boutique is a local shop that sells the most beautiful clothes and accessories! This shop is also a good stop for souvenir shirts, so you can keep a part of Cynthiana with you even after you leave – below is the shirt I just had to get!
Next Stop – Pike Street Wine House
This wine house is elegantly decorated and offers a variety of drink choices for anyone’s palette. I had a sangria that I believe they called the monster mash sangria, which was delicious – I highly recommend it.
The Sweet Boutique LLC
This sweet shop is every dessert lover’s dream! They have a massive menu with various sweets and snacks to choose from. The atmosphere was very calming, the set-up was evenly spaced out, is decorated quite nicely, and the sweet aroma was the icing on the cake! We all got to try one sweet item, and I asked them to surprise me, and they came back with a delicious cookie’s ‘n cream milkshake that convinced me that asking to be surprised was the correct decision.
The Next Chapter Bookstore
Our last stop for the business hop was the Next Chapter Bookstore. Psst, there was a clearance section – AKA my favourite section in any store. This book shop is locally owned, just like the others, and offers a variety of genres to choose from. They currently have a special edition hardcover for a book I recently read titled Verity, which I can recommend, so if you are in the area, there’s a book suggestion.
The Many Murals Around Cynthiana
There are so many murals all around town that one can see, and they make for great photo ops.
My Final Thoughts on Cynthiana
The influencer business hop was fun but also very educating and insightful. I had never visited Cynthiana before this, and I want to go back and experience the town like it was my first time in Cynthiana again. The town was beautiful, and the businesses had tons to offer, products and service-wise.
If you have a Fall bucket list, you better add Cynthiana to it and cross it out as soon as possible because Cynthiana is a fantastic Fall attraction in Kentucky. There is so much to do, so much to see, so much to learn there.
