My Life Lately… Life and Blog Updates!

It has been wild these past few months. With the arrival of our sweet baby boy, my graduation, and my starting new side quests, I felt it was necessary to give my readers an update on not only the blog but also my life and what is next. Don’t worry. The blog is not going anywhere – but I am!

The Arrival of Baby Raiden James

Raiden arrived on Leap Day earlier this year and has been growing so fast! People warned me that time flies and that if I blinked, I could miss something – they were not wrong. He has grown so much in the last 12 weeks, and it honestly has me in my feels. But it was a safe delivery, and he is the light of my husband’s and my life. We are so blessed.

My Graduation

I have finally graduated from Midway University with my BS in Marketing Communications! It was a long, stressful journey, but I made it! I ended up graduating with a 3.5 GPA. I was .1 away from receiving honors. Though I did not achieve honors, I did receive my diploma – all my hard work paid off. I am so happy to have this paper that shows that I know what I’m talking about! I learned so much at university and cannot wait to put the attained skills and knowledge to the test – and use them to help others.

Plans for the Blog Moving Forward

I plan on expanding my blog and blogging more about motherhood in Kentucky! I want to not just blog about Kentucky things and self-care, but I also want to share my first-time-mom journey with fellow Kentucky mamas! This means I will be visiting lots of local businesses and places in Kentucky and surrounding states that feature mom things as well as baby/kid things! This will be more rampant once Raiden turns two and can do more stuff, but I am beyond excited to go ahead and do my research to share what I find with fellow mommas who live in Kentucky and even in Tennesee. So, my blog will share the following (most likely in rotation throughout each month):

Boutiques/Shops
Food
Parks
Events
What I have learned as a first-time-mom
Farms
Fun things to do

…and more!

You will want to stay subscribed, as I have great things planned ahead! I have a few awesome collaborations coming up that are secret for now, but you will love them, so stay tuned!

One More Thing

Oh, and one more thing… I am opening a new business! Since I have acquired my BS in Marketing Communications and have had over five years of experience in social media marketing and reading data analytics, I have decided to start The Social Lamb! So far, I have created the Facebook and Instagram pages for this, and I would appreciate some support on those. I do have a book I am working on, and I plan to build two courses. The Social Lamb is to help local and small businesses utilize social media to reach larger audiences and gain more traffic to their websites and storefronts. The book and courses will be designed to help local business owners and small businesses navigate social media, and they will go in-depth on how to utilize the platforms and more. Release dates are TBA, so make sure you’re following The Social Lamb on Facebook and Instagram for more information coming soon! I will also add services that can be purchased through this blog site soon that coincide with this new business venture!
