Midway Kentucky for the Holidays

Midway, Kentucky is a small town in Woodford County with a variety of local shops and restaurants you need to check out – definitely add Midway to your Holiday bucket list, as all of the cute shops downtown are stocked full of locally crafted and made gifts and decor!

Places to Visit Downtown Midway

Commotion Consignments

Commotion Consignments offers a variety of items for horse lovers and non-horse lovers. They have riding apparel, toys, and antiques on the next level, more riding apparel and clothes on the lower level, and much more.

Black Type Co.

This cute cafe offers high-quality coffee and other beverages for those on the go and those who want a place to sit and perhaps work or talk with friends while enjoying coffee inside their beautiful space, which has the perfect atmosphere for either instance. They also create beautiful and delicious charcuterie!

Gigi and George

Gigi & George is a local treasure where you can find things old or new to add to your home or collection. They also create leather products, including wallets, belts, and more! They had a ton of beautiful antique furniture when I visited – if that may be something you’re into!

Therapy on Main

Therapy on Main also has new and older things. In fact, you’ll never know what you’ll find while visiting downtown Midway, especially if you’re a lover or collector of vintage decor, furniture, and other antique treasures. They also offer new things, but I am returning for the antiques here soon as I love items that carry a past and history that you can wonder about.

To You from Me

This shop features locally crafted and sourced items from local and small businesses in Kentucky that make perfect gifts! I had to purchase a pair of earrings I saw, but I also loved the vintage-inspired coasters from a local vendor that were displayed too.

Midway Makers Market

Midway Maker’s Market is similar to Lexington’s Local Lex Market and offers a variety of local and small vendors from all over Kentucky, mainly the Woodford County area. There is so much to look at here, and there is truly something for everyone 0 it is almost overwhelming! ā€¦ In a good way!

Gibson’s

Lastly, I visited Gibson’s restaurant with fellow Kentucky creatives for appetizers and drinks. The food was out of this world. I thoroughly enjoyed the southwestern eggrolls and had fun trying an Old Fashioned for the first time. The homemade chips were also a fantastic treat! 10/10 I highly recommend y’all eat here for lunch or dinner when you visit.
