What You Should Add to Your Baby Registry – Items We Received From Our Registry

I am currently 34 weeks at the time of writing this post, and I just have to share some of the things that my Husband and I have received from our baby registry! I have also added a list at the end that mentions items/products that you should probably add to your registry if you are expecting! For this post, I am exclusively only sharing the things we received from friends and family that were on our registry, as this will show what is realistically expected for other expecting parents to receive if they were to add these to their registry (if that makes sense).

Anyway, my husband and I would like to go ahead and thank everyone for their contributions and gifts. We appreciate all the love and help we have received in preparing for Baby Raiden’s arrival!

Some Items We Received

We have received so much from our registry! And again, thank you to everyone who contributed to the preparation of our first baby boy! This list does NOT include the items we received in person at our baby shower or in person at all. This is a strict list of the items we received from the registry. Hopefully, this will help those who are building their registry so they know what they can expect to receive!

What First-Time Parents Should Add to Their Registry

Here is a list of things I would add to your registry, especially if you’re a first-time parent and want to be super prepared! This is all my own opinion, so no, you do not need to add all of these or really any of these. These are just my suggestions! We put a lot of stuff that was on the “expensive” side of the registry on there only because we wanted the discount from Amazon. We did not expect anyone to purchase the high-end things, and we just wanted that discount, so keep the discount in mind when adding it to your registry!

  • Crib
  • Crib Mattress
  • Mattress Protectors
  • Mattress Sheets
  • Crib Arm
  • Changing Table
  • Changing Table Pads
  • Changing Table Covers/Sheets
  • Baby Bathtub
  • Wash Cloths
  • Baby Towels
  • Receiving Blankets
  • Burp Cloths
  • Bibs
  • Onesies and Sleepers (ZIP)
  • Socks and Mittens
  • Bottles
  • Bottle Drying Rack
  • Baby Care Items
  • Nursery Decor
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • First-Aid Kits and Boogie Picker Kits
  • And whatever else you and your support partner or spouse think you should add!

We chose to really use our registry as a checklist. Not only was the Amazon registry used as a checklist, but it was the most accessible to those we know. Everyone practically uses Amazon to order things these days, which is why we chose the Amazon route when it came to a baby registry. After we had some of our list bought and our checklist on what to add with them completed, they even sent some samples and full-sized items to us as a welcome gift. I recommend creating a registry through Amazon.

If you found this list helpful and want to join me on this journey of entering motherhood for the first time, please consider subscribing to the blog! I will also be releasing more on the topic of preparing to be a first-time mom and my first steps into motherhood on this site that I think you would find just as helpful, such as nursery things and more pregnancy/baby things. As always, thank you for supporting your local and small writers! Don’t forget to check out my Instagram and consider following me over there so you never miss exciting updates, stories, and reels relating to pregnancy and motherhood! I also write about Kentucky and love to share local and small businesses, so if you aren’t a mother-to-be but love Kentucky, there is another reason to subscribe to the blog!

Baby & Post Partum Checklist!

As a BONUS!!! Here are some checklists I’ve made for those who made it this far in the blog post! I hope these can help you all like it is helping me currently. I’ve done so much research and not everything on these lists are needed, but they’re my preferences and what I’ve been gathering in preparation for our baby! Thank you again!
