Our Trip to Savannah, Georgia

My husband and I recently visited Savannah, GA, for a weekend getaway; it was all we could ever hope for. Excellent food, so many activities to do, beautiful sights to see… We even visited Tybee Island.

FOOD & DRINK

There were so many places to choose from, and aside from Ruby Tuesdays, we also had a taste of:

ACTIVITIES

River Street has quite a bit to do and has the best shops and views! You can sit and hang around the river, grab a bite from many restaurants, and shop the strip!

We also loved sightseeing around the town! There are so many beautiful and historical spots to check out throughout Savannah.

Old Town Trolley Ghost Tours

We ended up going on a little ghost hunting tour which, in my opinion, was worth the money. We got to go inside the Andrew Low house and see all the beautiful rooms and decor; though our night lacked ghosts, you could still feel the presence around you as you stepped into each room. The doll room is rumored to show high levels of paranormal activity.

Savannah is one of the most haunted cities in the U.S, so I definitely suggest taking a ghost tour! You can check out the Ghosts and Gravestones Tour by Old Town Trolley Tours by clicking here!

Tybee Island

Tybee Island was beautiful and very relaxing! Tybee is an Island that features a beach near Savannah, GA, with gorgeous views!

We went to the Tybee Island Lighthouse Museum and had a great time learning about Tybee’s history and even getting the chance to see the inside of a lighthouse! Jake (my husband) wouldn’t go past the 2nd floor, but I kept at it until I got to the top to snap a few pics, then it was back down for me. The views from the top were breathtaking. The museum was also pretty cool that featured preserved artifacts. Overall, it was a pretty cool experience!

While at Tybee Island, we not only hit the beach but also a local bar near the beach called The Deck Beachbar and Kitchen, which featured delicious seafood and drinks!

Final Thoughts

There are so many things to do in Savannah and Tybee Island, GA, that we, unfortunately, couldn’t fit into one weekend, but we still got to explore and do fun things! And with that, Savannah, GA, definitely stole my heart! I would even say this is an excellent spot for honeymoons or even weekend trips! We will be back for sure.
